July 11, 2013 Making and Canning Strawberry Jam, 1-4 PM, Milkweed Farm, Brunswick, Maine
In this 3-hour, hands-on workshop, we’ll cover big-picture canning concepts, safe home canning procedures, tools, and techniques, as well as jam-making specifics. Then, as a class, we’ll make and can a batch of strawberry jam. The goal, by the end of class, is for each participant to feel confident in making and canning a simple jam on their own at home!
